Gather Social Dating app for iPhone and iPad

Gather Social is the alternative to dating apps for people who prefer to meet in-real-life, in small hosted groups.

With Gather Social you set your own schedule and location preferences. The system invites you to attend Gatherings of 8 to 12 specially selected people. A Gather host arrives early to welcome you and others. The host may break out some simple ice-breaker games, help with introductions and initiate some seat switching during the hour-long event. Events are designed to be casual and light-hearted opportunities to have a few laughs regardless of whether new friendships or dating interests result.

Gatherings take place at select, local, mid priced restaurants and brew pubs. Invitations (which come regularly according to your settings) are issued about two days before a Gathering is to take place. Final details about exact time and place come about a day later (once a reservation has been made at a specific time and venue).

Groups are composed of people who are systematically selected according to time and location settings, metrics of desirability, constraints of age ranges, and always balanced male to female plus or minus one.

At the end of each event guests can elect to grant messaging permission to one another. This allows extra time for on-platform conversation and consideration to occur before exchanging a phone number or other contact information.

Gather Social is free to join and to use and there are no contracts, subscriptions, or membership fees. Individual tickets to Gatherings cost $25 ($29 in Canada).
